North Korea's Kim requests second meeting with Trump, White House says

President Donald Trump has gained a letter from North Korean chief Kim Jong Un inquiring for a second assembly, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders mentioned Monday. Sanders mentioned Trump is "open to" the assembly, and the administration is "in the process" of arranging it. The two leaders met in June to talk about denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. Last month, Trump scrapped a trip by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to North Korea, bringing up a loss of progress on the issue.
