Tesla engineering chief leaving company permanently

Tesla Inc.'s TSLA, -2.30% best engineer, Doug Field, is leaving the company after it controlled to hit behind schedule production objectives whilst he was once on leave, in step with a Monday afternoon report. The Wall Street Journal reported that Field was once leaving completely about 20 mins prior to U.S. markets closed Monday afternoon, after the stock suffered an up-and-down day in the wake of Tesla pronouncing that it produced 5,000 Model 3 vehicles in a week for the first time. Tesla confirmed the move in a commentary to WSJ, pronouncing "After almost five years at Tesla, Doug Field is moving on. We'd like to thank Doug for his hard work over the years and for everything he has done for Tesla." Field, the senior vice president for engineering, had taken a leave of absence in early May. Tesla stocks closed with a 2.3% decline at $335.07, whilst the S&P 500 index SPX, +zero.31% closed with a nil.3% gain.
