GM to lay off workers in Ohio plant that makes the Chevy Cruze

General Motors Co. GM, -0.26% may just reduce as much as 1,500 jobs at a plant in Ohio that builds the Chevy Cruze, according to experiences on Friday. The plant would get rid of shifts to stand dwindling demand for the compact automotive. GM previous this month stated Chevrolet was once the business's fastest-growing full-line logo, but largely on the strength of the brand's SUVs and pickup trucks as well as larger sedans. Shares of GM rose 0.2% in late buying and selling after finishing the regular consultation down 0.3%.
