Berkovitz to be nominated for CFTC

The White House said on Monday the President would nominate Dan Michael Berkovitz to be a commissioner of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, for the remainder of a five-year time period expiring April 13, 2023. Berkovitz previously served as common recommend of the CFTC and used to be the company's deputy representative to the Financial Stability Oversight Council. Berkovitz is recently a partner and co-chair of the futures and derivatives practice at the law company of WilmerHale and has been a senior workforce legal professional for the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations.
